Guide
The one product that matters most
UV light causes most visible ageing, most dark spots and worsens acne marks. A daily broad-spectrum sunscreen prevents more than every serum combined, and it works from the first day.
How to choose
- SPF 50 with UVA protection (look for PA++++ or the UVA circle). UVA passes through clouds and glass.
- A texture you like: a fluid or gel for oily skin, a cream for dry skin. The best sunscreen is the one you reapply.
- Fragrance-free and mineral options for sensitive skin.
How to use it
- Apply as the last step of your morning routine, before makeup. Two finger-lengths for the face and neck.
- Wait a few minutes before makeup.
- Reapply every two hours outdoors, and after sweating or swimming. Indoors near a window, once in the morning is enough.
Common mistakes
Using too little, forgetting the ears, neck and hands, and skipping it on cloudy days or in winter. The UV index in Egypt is high all year.
